Since January 2016 Arne Bigsten is a member of the Expert Group for Aid -studies at the Swedish Foreign Office.

GCGD co-financed the conference "Governance Innovation Week" at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, June 2-7, 2014. See Programme.

Jochen Kleres, GCGD postdoc researcher working at the Department of Sociology and Work Science, has received an award from the International Society for Third Sector Research for his PhD thesis "AIDS Organizations as Civil Society Actors".

Presentation of book Europaperspektiv 2014: EU och de globala obalanserna in Swedish TV, channel 2 on February 7 (repeat Feb 11), 2014 with - among others - Arne Bigsten who has contributed with the chapter "Biståndets roll i att överbrygga globala obalanser: EU och Afrika". The title of the program was SVT Forum: Europaperspektiv: EU:s roll i världspolitiken (A European Perspective: EU's role in world politics).
